Hi! I'm Nanette! The bakery is named after my daughter, Violet. I'm originally from Iowa, one of the best states to be from because we love our baked sweets. I've lived in Big Bear for over six years. I've done a lot of experimenting and taste testing delicious (and some not so delicious) baked goods from around the country and the world in order to find the perfect versions of the goodies I love. I've had a lot of schooling and job experience, mainly in healthcare, and am also a self-taught real estate photographer and blogger. But my real passion is in baking the best homemade treats, the things I love to eat! You won't find any fondant covered cakes here, but you will find home style goodies that you will crave over and over again. I've been told I've ruined store bought cookies.
